Sail Training Program - 2007-2008 Season

All courses are run at the Deviot Sailing Club.

Basic Sail Course
Subjects covered include:

  • Clothing and safety equipment
  • Rigging the boat with assistance
  • How to steer the boat
  • Primary boat controls
  • Rescue procedures – including capsize recovery
  • Launching and recovery
  • Basic rules of the road
  • Introduction to tides and currents

    Session 1 - Saturday 16th February 2008. Starting 9:30am Sharp
    Session 2 & 3 - Sunday 17th February 2008. Starting 10am Sharp. Finished by 3pm
    Session 4 - Saturday 23th February 2008. Starting 9:30am Sharp
    Sessions 5 & 6 - Sunday 24th February 2008. Starting 10am Sharp. Finished by 3pm
